Born in the wake of the Tuscan experience in the mid-1980s, over the years Marzieno has been able to build its own personality and above all its own credibility, so much so that over the years, according to critics, it has been among the few red wines of our region in to compete with the best Italian reds of its type. Starting from the 2001 harvest, while continuing to maintain a solid framework given by the Sangiovese, the Marzieno blend saw the introduction, alongside the Cabernet Sauvignon, of other grape varieties such as Syrah and Merlot. Our favorite vintages are 1990, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2006, 2008 and 2011.
