In the composition of this cuvée we chose the basic grapes from vineyards at least 30 years old, with southeastern exposure. The summer season 2015 was rather dry and the heat came early with respect to the average for Franciacorta.

The grapes ripened early and the harvest began a little before mid-August. To emphasize the fresh, elegant character of the basic grapes from our oldest vineyards, we decided not to complete the blend, as we usually do, with wines fermented and aged in barrels.

The result is a vertical Franciacorta of unusual depth, that will surely surprise us for its longevity and potential for evolution.
